2010 marked the 150th anniversary of BNP Paribas’ presence in India. To celebrate, the Group chose to hold a photo exhibit documenting the essential role of women in India today. 6 photographers from the global cooperative agency Magnum Photos were commissioned to cover one particular subject, and Zubaan, a publishing house in south India focused on women’s issues, has put together a book of these photographs.

Following its tour of India in 2010, through the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Chennai and Calcutta, the show has arrived in Europe. The itinerary:

26 May – 19 June 2011
Milan – Forma Foundation

15 – 29 September 2011
London – Saatchi Gallery

6 October – 6 November
Brussels – BELvue Museum

21 October – 8 January
