Participating in the development of meaningful initiatives – the economy at the service of real people
Our names are Florence Valle and Olivier Endelin. We are two experienced managers, each with more than 15 years’ experience in the areas of sales and marketing, finance and new technologies.
By doing a study tour and field missions in the Asia Pacific region, we hope to make a contribution to meaningful projects in the arenas of social business and microfinance. Our approach is, above all, a pragmatic one; we will be adapting our projects and goals to each place we visit.
We will be sharing our expertise with Aski, a microfinance institution (MFI) based in the Philippines, during a three-week communication consulting mission. We will be helping Shamengo to identify social economy “pioneers”. And finally, we will be helping the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation to identify companies in which their investment funds can invest.
Microfinance Without Borders and Aski: Founded and led by a former BNP Paribas employee in 2007, the association Micro-Finance Sans Frontières (MFSF – Microfinance without Borders) gives volunteers an opportunity to support the MFI’s work by donating their skills. Aski is one of MFSF’s MFI partners, based in the Philippines.
• Ekovivo will provide support to Aski in the areas of communication, human resources and business development.
Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation: Created in 2008, the foundation’s mission is to support the development of local microfinance institutions and companies with a social mission in developing countries. It wishes to deepen its commitment to making capital investments in socially-oriented companies.
• Ekovivo will be participating in identifying these social companies in Asia and, where appropriate, providing technical assistance.
Shamengo: This organizations’s goal is to become a go-to platform for sharing and connecting entrepreneurs and individuals leading eco-friendly projects. Each week, Shamengo posts a 2-minute video showcasing the efforts of a pioneer who has founded a company with a strong social and/or ecological impact.
• Ekovivo will identify the creators of projects that will be featured by Shamengo; proposals to help reconcile ethics with economic performance will be offered to these pioneers.
