BNP Paribas Fortis has just listed its 950 agencies on foursquare®, making it the first bank to join this geolocation-based social network in a structured way. To celebrate the launch, the bank, with the support of the BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation, has initiated a special campaign with the Banques Alimentaires (“the Food Banks”).

Between 17 September and 17 October, for each “check-in” by a user at a BNP Paribas Fortis location on foursquare®, the Foundation will donate one meal to the Banques Alimentaires, up to a maximum of 5,000 meals.

The Banques Alimentaires fight against hunger and waste by collecting surplus food, primarily from the food industry and supermarkets, and distributing it to those in need. They are present not only in Belgium, but also across Europe and throughout the world.
