A new award will be presented during this year’s International Francophone Film Festival of Namur, in Belgium, held from 28 September to 5 October 2012.

Cinevox, the festival’s new Presenting Sponsor, in collaboration with BNP Paribas Fortis and alongside RTBF (Radio Télévision Belge Francophone), will present the “Cinevox Award” for the best previously unreleased Belgian feature film. The award will be announced the day before the official awards are presented.

The winner will be selected by a jury chaired by a prominent film critic, composed of 4 Belgian film enthusiasts…one of whom could be you!

Are you highly knowledgeable about Belgian directors and actors? Did you see “Les Géants”, “La Fée”, “Le Gamin au Vélo”, as well as “Calvaire”, “Les Barons” and “Dikkenek”? Are you able to express why you love a film, and to defend your opinions? If so… you could be the next member of the Cinevox Jury.

To apply, simply send an email to promotion@fiff.be and/or redaction@cinevox.be with a brief description of the most recent Belgian film that you liked and why you liked it, plus a short personal statement and a photo. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. Applications will be accepted until Friday, August 24. The Cinevox team and FIFF will select all four members of the jury from among the applicants the following week.

To be part of this adventure, you must be available to view ALL of the Belgian films being screened, so make sure you’ll be available for the entire festival before sending your application.

And whether or not you’re selected for the 2012 Jury, you can still attend the various film screenings, concerts, events and meetings with film professionals… Not to be missed!
