106 rowing boats, more than 400 participants and € 50,000 in proceeds, all for a good cause—this is the impressive result of the charity event “Rudern gegen Krebs” (or “Rowing against cancer”).

The charity regatta took place in June and was organised by the foundation “Leben mit Krebs” (or “Living with cancer”). Cortal Consors Germany supported the charity event in Nuremberg as main sponsor. The proceeds are donated for the benefit of the project “Onko-Sport” of the hospital in Nuremberg which allows cancer patients a gentle workout under professional guidance of a therapist.

In addition to sponsoring of the event, the Cortal Consors Germany employees also took part in the regatta. 17 teams, each with 4 team members, rose to the athletic challenge. Even Kai Friedrich, CEO of Cortal Consors Germany, rowed in a VIP boat for the good cause. The charity event attracted a large numbers of spectators which supported the rowing teams.
