Kitezh Clildren’s Community is a charitable network in Russia that helps introduce children from orphanages into loving foster families. Their aim is to create a developing environment for the education and care of orphans and children in crisis.
BNP Paribas CIB in Moscow recently gave 50 computers to Kitzeh. Thanks to this, the association will organise two computer classes for children and will be able to launch their own project, “Young journalist school“. As of now each class is equipped with a PC, which these budding journalists will use to design their own internal Kitezh newspaper.
The first Kitezh village is in the Kaluga Region, 300 km southwest of Moscow. The second village (actually founded by former members of the “original” Kitezh) called Kitezh-Orion, is located 60 km in the same direction.
Family love, beautiful surroundings and an emphasis on individualized education are all ways that Kitezh works to heal the scars of early traumas, and build the children’s personal, academic and vocational skills to help them become active, contributing members of society.
Kitezh is the name of a mythical city on the shores of the Svetloyar lake in central Russia. Legend has it that only those who are pure in their heart and soul will find their way to Kitezh. The fact that the children’s community was named after Kitezh is very symbolic –this a community of the people with clear hearts on a very important mission!

The computer donation was a joint initiative of the BNP Paribas Moscow CIB IT and Brand & Communications departments.
