It’s been over a year that BNP Paribas Real Estate set up 3 beehives on the roof of its headquarters, located just outside Paris. Then, as a part of a Green Meeting during Sustainable Development week in April 2012, beekeeper Loris Niard came to speak about the role of bees in the preservation of biodiversity.
Around 50 of our coworkers then took part in collecting the honey from our own hives, in two sessions, the last of which took place this week. In total, we had about 100 kg of wildflower honey! This harvest will be sold to BNP Paribas Real Estate employees, with all profits going to a local environmental association.
