On 19 May, more than 160 employees of BNP Paribas Luxembourg finished the Luxembourg Marathon. To support their efforts, the management of BNP Paribas in Luxembourg promised to donate a sum of money in proportion to the number of participants from the bank that crossed the finish line.

For the seventh year in a row, the involvement of the group’s Luxembourg workforce made it possible to support a project conducted by SOS Children’s Villages International, a non-profit organisation based in the Grand Duchy.
The funds raised this year will go towards the construction of a family house in the third SOS children’s village built in Haiti. Currently at the planning stage, the new village will be built at Les Cayes in the south of the country. It will consist of 15 family houses that will provide a home for 135 orphaned or abandoned children. Luxembourg-based SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde is financing the construction of one of these fifteen houses. Work will begin this summer.
More than two years after the tragic earthquake that devastated Haiti, this major project is part of a vast reconstruction assistance programme organised by the SOS-Kinderdorf International federation.
Congratulations to all our marathoners!
