In April, Cortal Consors Germany participated in the project “Girls’ Day – Future Prospects for Girls”, a campaign supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

The initiative aims at promoting professions and activities that are primarily executed by men among girls aged 10 years and older. This year, 12 girls ages 14 to 17 had the possibility to get some insight into the world of banking at Cortal Consors Germany. After being personally welcomed by Cortal Consors CEO Kai Friedrich, the girls could opt for a guided tour through the IT department or the company’s customer advisory service. Throughout the day, they got to know different teams and functions like website management and project management office, and had the chance to assist a live counselling interview with a customer. Finally, a personal talk with IT Director Anja Schaffer gave the girls an idea about a potential career path of women in the field of IT.

By taking part in the project, Cortal Consors encourages and motivates young women to access professions that are not typically “female” and to promote gender equality.
