During last year’s winter holidays celebration, employees of Cortal Consors Germany were able to raise funds (1,230 euros) for the Indian charity organization “Guardian Angels Charitable Society”.

While one part of the donation was generated by auctioning an Indian jersey among employees, it was the company’s action “Walk to India” what truly contributed to raising the funds.

What is “Walk to India”  all about?

Over 200 employees took a pedometer and registered themselves to walk, for a couple of weeks, the distance required to get to India.

The management announced that it would pay 10 cents for each kilometer walked until the amount of 1,000 euros could be collected.  Once the goal was reached, Jaya Jacob Alexander and Christian Birthaelmer from Geojit BNP Paribas personally handed over a cheque to representatives of the charity organization in Kochi.
