Mourad Merzouki’s Yogeeti is an amazing crossover between Taiwan and French, knitting and choreography. BNP Paribas Taiwan, partnering with National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Centre, presented the World Premiere of this wonderful dance theatre in March in Taipei. The performance is part of the “Taiwan International Festival of Arts 2012” which aims at “crossing borders” and ”crossing cultures” between locally and internationally acclaimed arts groups.

Mourad Merzouki, French choreographer of Käfig Company, is a long-term partner of the BNP Paribas Foundation. We have been partnering with him since 2003 and have been supporting his creations both in France and overseas.
Arts have a profound value to human, social and economic development. Therefore, the need for support in the cultural and arts domain, with respect to preservation and promotion, is never-ending. For all these reasons, and also as a core value of our philanthropic missions, BNP Paribas is committed to encouraging artistic expression and to preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Apart from bringing Mourad’s performance to Taiwan, we also support the restoration project of a mirror case from Qing Dynasty, which is part of “Xi Qing Xu Jian” collections of the National Palace Museum in Taiwan.
