The purpose of the Global Carbon Project is to enable scientists from all over the world to share information on carbon flows and stimulate international debate on ways and means to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

This new project is designed to make accessible all the information on these flows that has been collected and help to visualise the major sources of carbon dioxide and main carbon sinks in each region of the world.
