The ALZHAR theatre troupe, based in Marseille, is interested in understanding the culture and identity of the Mediterranean region. Their approach? The actors of the ensemble lead acting workshops in a wide variety of settings: middle schools, prisons, hospitals, shelters and more. The content collected from these often out-of-the-ordinary encounters is then used as inspiration for the staging of their full-length performances.
