Vital Regeneration is a charity working to transform London’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods. It helps develop social, environmental and economic programmes so that people and communities fulfil their potential through learning, employment and enterprise.
Once again the summer, a team of 30 interns at BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking dedicated more than 300 hours of their time to help organize the organization’s second annual “Vital 500” fundraiser on August 17. The event was started last year to raise awareness, in particular among the business community, about the organisation.
Vital Regeneration works with young people, long-term jobseekers, older people, black and minority ethnic communities, lone parents and residents living in temporary accommodation or overcrowded conditions. In addition to a number of innovative projects, it offers courses for over 350 adults and young people a month in information & communication technologies and new media as well as advice and guidance services related to employability to help participants achieve their educational and professional aspirations.
