On 8th July 2010, the “Six Billion Others” exhibition opened its doors in two important venues in Bordeaux. The exhibition brings together the responses of some 5,600 people interviewed across 78 countries: from a Brazilian fisherman to a Chinese shopkeeper all to an Afghan farmer, each answered questions about their aspirations, struggles, hopes and feelings.

The first opening ceremony was held on the Bordeaux submarine base, an enormous remnant of the Second World War, with 12,000 m2 of space open to the public. The second was held at the same time at the Bordeaux CHU (the University Teaching Hospital), enabling medical staff, patients and their families to explore the exposition set up in the hall.

The exhibition is free and will be open until Sunday, 26th September 2010.
