To mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, April 22, 2010, the Sustainable Development Committee in Canada wanted to make an impact in Montreal. More than 200 plants were distributed to employees during lunch. Each employee was offered to choose one of the various types of plants. The event was a great success. The idea was to give a “green spirit” to our offices: you can now see a green plant on each desk of the bank!
The Committee on Sustainable Development Canada is moving around two axes: societal and ecological concerns. It was created in 2007 and is composed of five persons from different departments of the bank.
Since then management of BNP Paribas (Canada) chose to locate its new office in Toronto in a building LEED ® Gold certified (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). Canada is becoming greener!
