At the end of October 2009, northern Philippines was struck by two Typhoons – Ondoy and Pepeng, which caused severe flooding and left more than 400,000 people homeless. The damage was concentrated in poorer, underdeveloped areas with inadequate drainage systems and affected more than 1 million people’s lives.

BNP Paribas Singapore and the BNP Paribas Manila Offshore branch have a made a contribution through the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), to help the victims of this unfortunate natural disaster. The funds collected through this initiative will be used to rebuild homes and schools for the typhoon victims.
