On the occasion of the 1st round of the Lectures – Sea, Marine, and Environment organized by the National Maritime Museum in Paris, 2 crew members of La Boudeuse Bernard Wolfrom, Head of the support team, and Olivier Archambeau, geographer and member of the scientific community of the Society of French Explorers, presented the mission and objectives of the three-masted sailing vessel.

Olivier Archambeau discusses the mission of La Boudeuse:

Olivier Archambeau

“The “Terre-Océan” mission, which is the main mission of this ship, is to find new data from the best specialist scientists on all issues relating, as its name suggests, to the meeting of land and ocean. That means looking at estuaries, river banks and going up rivers to the small streams. There is a whole, highly interesting biological world, which can open up avenues of exploration and perhaps even help us to discover new species.”
