For last 3 years, BNP Paribas CIB Russia has provided financial support for “Nadezhda” orphanage, a boarding school, 100 km outside of Moscow, with 130 children from 6 to 16 years old from disadvantaged families. This intiative was started in 2006 by BNP Paribas CIB Russia employees to help nurture abandoned children, and since then, a significant part of the budget is allocated every year to help out the school.
During this past summer, 2009, to complete the replacement of the kitchen equipment and partial furniture replacement over last 2 years, the water supply and sewers system were renovated for the first time since the construction of the orphanage. “Nadezhda” orphanage also received PCs and computer desks, sewing machines, soccer goals, camping tents, LCD TVs and DVD players.
