On the 18th of October 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey, 9 TEB (Türk Ekonomi Bankası) Bank and 5 TEB Arval employees participated in the Eurasia marathon. This marathon, which has been taking place for over 30 years, is an international race that starts in Asia and finishes in Europe.

In addition to the marathon, 2 others races exist: 15km run and the fun run of 8km.

This year TEB Bank and TEB Arval decided to participate in the 15km run in order to support a local Association, AdimAdim.

In turn, the AdimAdim Association team wants to bring attention to Social Responsibility Initiatives by collecting donations for three groups in particular:

TEGV (Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey) was created in 1995. Their objective is to create and implement educational programs and extracurricular activities for children, so that they can acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes to become responsible individuals who can put their creativity to use and respect diversity.
TOG (Community Volunteers) promotes social peace, solidarity and change through the participation and leadership of the youth The association was created in 2002 to create facilities that help young people start their careers and prepare for the future.
The group provides guiding and consulting services in order to make contributions to their personal development of young people..
TOFD (Turkey Spinal Cord Paralysis Foundation) was established in 1998 with the purpose to assist those with spinal cord injury medically as well as by supporting their careers, social integration and economic freedom.

This year nearly 1500 runners competed in the marathon, more than 9000 for the 15km race and more than 95 000 for the fun race, including 8 individuals in wheelchairs and handbikes.

Our colleagues succesfully completed their 15km race, showing their team spirit and cohesion by finishing in small groups.
