A tennis training hour for disadvantaged children will take place on September 14th 2009, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Children from Mezdra Home for Handicapped will participate in the training, part of the BNP Paribas‘ program “Tennis for Everybody”. Also, the Bank donated a coaching pack of Mini Tennis equipment (including tennis nets, rackets, and tennis balls) to the Mezdra Home for Handicapped and thus allowed the children to play at their premises in addition to the regular training lessons.

After the tennis training hour, the children will benefit from BNP Paribas’ “One day out of the orphanage” program and enjoy a nice meal and a visit to the Zoo. In addition, BNP Paribas and the French School “Victor Hugo” once again join efforts in supporting orphans. A big donation drive is organised for the 14th and 17th of September. Each pupil of the French school and the employees of BNP Paribas Sofia Branch will bring school items, which will then be collected and distributed to orphanages. The purpose of this collection is to get everything a pupil will need for the beginning of the school year: blocks, pens, colouring pencils, erasers, pencil case, ruler, school books, school bags. . . – items that are often out of reach for the orphans. The initiative is under the patronage of Madame Carolin de Poncins (wife of the French Ambassador to Bulgaria).
