Thanks to the quality training and strong human and ethical values, Oberer Tennis Camp has become a reference point for all young tennis enthusiasts.
Stéphane Oberer, the former director of the Swiss Tennis Federation and former captain of the Swiss Davis Cup team, created the camp for children between the 8 and 18 years old. Its purpose is not only to train future champions but also to help young people realize and achieve their full potential.
Perseverance and the willingness to strive: the camp imbues the children with qualities that will be valuable for them in their adult lives. It also encourages friendship between the children and the teachers.
BNP Paribas shares these values, because they tend to translate into commitment and ambition. The BNP Paribas Switzerland Foundation has supported the Oberer Tennis Camp since 2001. In 2008, for the 7th consecutive year, BNP Paribas Switzerland sponsored children from low-income households by offering them a week of intensive tennis training.
The Oberer Tennis Camp has been a great success every year. Each year, the children have the opportunity to train like “pros” for a week and to play with international champions like Martina Hingis, Jakob Hlasek, Cédric Pioline, Arnaud Boetsch and Fabrice Santoro.
This initiative is part of our global social solidarity program and underscores our role as a committed partner of tennis.
