BNP Paribas is pleased to sponsor MilliontreesNYC month in New York City for the second year in a row.
MillionTreesNYC is a citywide, public-private initiative with an ambitious goal to plant and care for one million new trees across New York City’s five boroughs over the next nine years.
The MilionTreesNYC initiative will increase New York’s urban forest, its most valuable environmental asset, by an astounding 20 percent, while achieving the many quality-of-life benefits that come with planting.
This year, BNP Paribas employees will volunteers for two main events:
On April 24th (Arbor Day), 200 volunteers will be joined by 300 New York City 5th graders to plant, mulch, and water 250 new trees on NYC public housing development or schoolyard.
On April 25th (Hands on NY Day) 100 Volunteers from BNP Paribas will be joined by community members to plant trees at the Spring Creek Park in Brooklyn.
If you would like to support this great initiative and participate to one of the volunteers events, please send an e-mail to milliontreesnycmonth@us.bnpparibas.com.
