Bertrand Gacon, BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Switzerland, is one of the founding members of the association “Tizayuca “. Named after a small village in Mexico, the association has received for two years in a row funding from the Helping Hand programme. Its activity compliments that of a local Mexican private association, Las Rosas Rojas, which manages “Ciudad de los Ninos” a foyer, which provides boarding, day care, and education for underprivileged children.

The association ” Tizayuca” supports the foyer financially, mores pecifically through a sponsorship program, which allowes people to “sponsor” a child from the foyer by financing his/her education activities.

More recently, “Tizauyca” donated new computers for the school, thus improving significantly the computer literacy of the children.

The big challenge facing the association today is sustainability. In order to have a lasting change in the lives of these children, they need tools to fight for a better future. Education is an indispensible part of this fight. This is why all the projets that have been undergone contain an aspect of durability and excellence.

By sponsoring one child, we help all of them, as the donations are always to the benefit of all the children in the foyer. This one simple gesture can give a crucially important helping hand to these children by giving them the tools to succeed in life.

Bertrand Gacon tells us about his commitment to the children of Tizayuca:
