For the third consecutive year, Arval supports the Equinox Association’s humanitarian convoy to Bosnia by lending the delivery vehicles for the convoy. The vehicles were provided by Arval’s Lyon branches. After a year of preparation, Equinox-affiliated university students at ESDES (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et de Management de Lyon) travelled between 31 January and 8 February to deliver donations to Bosnia. This year the objective of the convoy was twofold: to continue to supply their existing partner centres in Bosnia, and to meet new organisations to potentially support in Montenegro.

As the Montenegrin government appears to have left aside certain underprivileged groups (orphans, the disabled, etc.), it is often difficult to establish contact with the relevant organisations. Despite the difficult roads, the Equinox convoy has been able to bring assistance to a number of centres for people who are living with disabilities or are otherwise disadvantaged.

In Bosnia, the association has provided toys, clothing and wool to two centres for people with disabilities in Sarajevo, as well as school supplies (pencils, file folders, paper etc.) to an association for children disadvantaged as a result of the war. Finally, three schools around Sarajevo have received five computers each.

The students who participated int he convoy said that it has been a rewarding experience and that they would like to make another trip as soon as possible.
