BNP Paribas Foundation in Switzerland, organized an all-day event devoted to the “Helping Hand” program. The event took place in on March 9th, in the auditorium la Corrateriere in Geneva, and had three main objectives:

•To acknowledge the work of the employees already taking part in the “Helping Hand” for whom volunteering has become a part of their personal lives.

•To popularize their activity within the BNP Paribas Group.

•To appeal to potential new enthusiasts.

This event enabled about a hundred employees to learn more about the work of the ten 2008 “Helping Hand” ‘veterans’ while reminding everyone of the main principles behind the initiative . The volunteer employees had an opportunity to talk about their experiences in their particular projects, and to show that it is perfectly possible to combine professional life, private life and voluntary commitments.

The film, especially produced for the occasion, informed the employees in the audience of the various voluntary initiatives that are conducted or organised over our Intranet. The film will also be shown during the events we hold to welcome new members.

And concerning the blog…

It is a very original initiative – that enables “Helping Hand” participants in various countries to meet and exchange ideas about their projects.
