On 11th of April, 2009 Mr. Patrick  Gherara, Head of BNP Paribas agencies in Moncaco,  intived 50 children from the association « Les Enfants de Frankie » ( The children of Frankie) to spend a day at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament, sponsored by BNP Paribas.

The children had a chance to see live some of the world’s greatest tennis players, including Rafael Nadal.

“Les Enfants de Frakie” is an association created in  1997 which  helps underprivileged children from the region of Alpes-Maritimes. Frankie the clown welcomes children, who often suffer from diseases or are isolated . He comforts them by making them laugh at his jokes and with the overal joyfulness of his character.

The association has  developed several chanels for helping the children.  Along with the non-traditional ones, like the day at the tournament, they also have  partnerships with hospitals, social services, and orphanages, along with other organisations and associations who try to reach out to the local children.
