BNP Paribas continues its efforts to promote green computing.  The Corporate and Investment banking division of the group has just announced the implementation of supercomputers consuming less energy. These supercomputers will allow a reduction of the electricity consumption whilst accelerating calculation times. In this way this development multiplies the actual capacity of the calculation power, increasing a hundred fold its amount of calculation achieved per Watt.

This initiative will carry out part of the calculations made by the business line Global Equities & Commodity Derivatives. The calibration of the software has been redesigned, giving way to an improved legibility of market prices by traders and a reduction of the total cost of operation.
