BNP Paribas Bulgaria took part in the project “Get ready to succeed” which awarded scholarships to 106 Bulgarian orphans. For the ten months of 2008/2009 school year 43 high school students and 63 university students will receive a monthly scholarship. The Bulgarian Charity Aid Foundation runs this nation wide program for aiding orphans who demonstrate academic excellence and determination to achieve higher levels of education.  The scholarships given to students have a symbolic importance. In addition to the financial value; the scholarship encourages young people from this underprivileged group of society to complete their education and get a better prospect for success in life.

This Christmas  as part of BNP Paribas Bulgaria’s social responsibility program, children from Lycee Française Victor Hugo donated clothes and toys to orphans. The goodwill action is part of the yearly initiative, and consists of donation of

-  school materials in September to help orphans start the new school year,

-distribution of gifts for Christmas,

- distribution of desserts and sweets on Easter.

The students at Lycée Française Victor Hugo voluntarily participated in these actions.
