BNP Paribas Spain, in partnership with the También Foundation, has inaugurated a new centre for Padel Tennis which has been specially designed for handicapped players. Padel tennis, a synthesis of various racquet sports, is played with a small, short racquet, in doubles, on a court which is half the size of a normal tennis court. It is very popular in Spain, Argentina, and even in New York.
BNP Paribas Spain made the decision to support the creation of this school, which gives all handicapped players in the Autonomous Community of Madrid the chance to practise this enjoyable but also physically demanding sport.
Thanks to the specially designed equipment and infrastructure, these players can take part in the sport at any time, whether with their families or with friends. The Centre is also a school, offering classes from beginner to advanced. National tournaments can also be held there.
