BNP Paribas Assurance has been awarded the Equality at Work label. The label is awarded for initiatives to encourage equal opportunities and equal remuneration between men and women in the workplace. Such initiatives include training for management, parental leave for education, increase in paternity leave to 2 calendar weeks on full salary, support for maternity leave, remuneration studies and the establishment of measurement indicators.

“This Label encourages us to go even further in our policies for diversity, to avoid all forms of discrimination, and to set up a policy for further progress in this area,” says Marie-Christine Barjolin, Director of Human Resources at BNP Paribas Insurance.

An effective tool for encouraging companies to strive towards equality and diversity at work, and for improving social dialogue, the Equality at Work label is awarded by the certifying organisation AFAQ-AFNOR and is valid for a period of 3 years. It was launched towards the end of 2004 at the initiative of the Ministry for Employment, and its purpose is to promote equality between men and women in the workplace.
