In May 2008, BNP Paribas SA signed an enterprise agreement for a 4-year period aimed at promoting the employment of handicapped people.
An agreement with AGEFIPH, an association for the employment of handicapped people in private sector companies, had already been signed, in 2007.

These agreements help to sensitise staff to an important aspect of diversity at work, to ensure continuous employment for people with disabilities, to encourage working conditions appropriate for handicapped employees, and to provide assistance for staff whose partners or children are handicapped.
Under the agreements, 170 staff will be taken on in the next 4 years.
