BNP Paribas and the Bulgarian Tennis Federation partnered together to introduce orphans the pleasures and benefits of Tennis. On April 12, the Bulgarian national tennis team for the Davis Cup gave a training session for the orphans from a home near Plovdiv. The children were delighted to be able to train with the Bulgarian tennis stars. Todor Enev, the number one Bulgarian player, and Ognyan Iliev, the captain of the Davis Cup team, taught the youngsters the rules of tennis and played the game with them.
The leading worldwide tennis sponsor, BNP Paribas has signed a partnership agreement with the Bulgarian Tennis Federation on March 2008.
Particular interest is given to “social” tennis, providing educational programs with substantial aide. In Bulgaria, where the Group has a strong presence in many business lines, BNP Paribas is a partner of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, contributing to the development of the sport at every level.
The two partners will organize such events three times each quarter in order to encourage the practice of tennis to youngsters in difficulty.
